Bespoke window installation by Marshall & Co. in Perth

Windows & Doors Perth

New windows and doors transform the look, feel, and energy efficiency of a property. Marshall & Co. fits them with precision and finishes the surrounding joinery to match.

Where Detail Makes the Difference

A window or door that isn't fitted properly lets in draughts, damp, and noise. Lee Marshall has spent over twenty years learning exactly how older Perthshire properties move and settle, and he fits to account for it.

Marshall & Co. handles the full scope: removal of existing frames, making good the surrounding masonry or timber, fitting the new unit to a weather-tight standard, and completing all the internal joinery, including architraves, cills, and reveals, so the result looks considered rather than patched.

Whether the property is a Georgian townhouse in Perth requiring sympathetic timber-look frames or a newer build where a contemporary flush door is the brief, Lee sources and fits to specification.

Get in Touch
Do new windows and doors require planning permission?
Like-for-like replacement windows and doors generally do not require planning permission. If your property is listed, in a conservation area, or the replacement windows are significantly different in style or material from the originals, you may need consent. We will advise on your situation.
What glazing options are available?
We work with double and triple glazed units in a range of frame materials including uPVC, timber, and aluminium. The choice depends on the property type, thermal performance requirements, planning constraints, and budget. Each option has different characteristics and we will explain the trade-offs.
How do new windows improve energy efficiency?
Modern double and triple glazed windows significantly reduce heat loss compared to older single glazed or failed double glazed units. Better U-values mean less heat escaping through the glass, which reduces heating costs and improves comfort, particularly in older Scottish properties.
Do you supply the windows and doors as well as fit them?
Yes. We can manage the full supply and installation process, sourcing units from trusted manufacturers. Alternatively, if you have already selected and purchased your windows or doors, we can carry out the installation.
How long does window and door installation take?
A full house of windows and a front door can typically be completed in one to two days depending on the number of units and any complications with the existing openings. Individual replacements are usually done within a few hours.
What happens to the existing frames?
Existing frames are carefully removed and disposed of responsibly. The reveals and surrounding plasterwork are made good as part of the installation. Any damage to internal finishes during removal is repaired before we leave.
Can you replace a standard door with bi-fold or sliding doors?
Yes. Installing bi-fold, sliding, or French doors in place of a standard door or window is something we carry out regularly. This often involves widening the opening, which is a structural change requiring a lintel. We handle all of this as part of the project.
How do I get a quote?
Call us on 07940 568877 or use the contact form on our contact page. We will arrange a visit to measure up and assess the existing openings, then provide a clear, itemised written quotation.
