Methven carries more history than most Perthshire villages realise. The Battle of Methven in 1306 was one of Robert the Bruce's earliest and most damaging defeats, fought just outside the village on the road to Perth. The built fabric today reflects a working Perthshire settlement rather than a market town: Main Street has stone-built cottages and older houses, with more recent development on the surrounding roads. The older properties have the characteristics common to mid-Perthshire construction, random rubble walls, thick external skins, and occasionally unpredictable internals once the plaster comes off.
Lee travels the A85 between Perth and Crieff regularly, and Methven sits naturally on this route. He works here as he does across the rest of his west-of-Perth area, same thorough assessment of the specific building, same written quote, same personal service throughout.
