Almondbank sits just west of Perth on the River Almond, close to Huntingtower Castle. The village has a mix of post-war council houses, 1970s bungalows, and older stone-built properties on the original village core. The stone ones need a particular approach, solid walls, random rubble construction, and materials that require matching rather than replacing when internal work is carried out. The newer properties have their own characteristics that Lee is equally familiar with.
