Luncarty sits a few miles north of Perth on the River Almond, not far from where the legendary tenth-century Battle of Luncarty was fought. The village itself is a quiet residential community with a mix of older stone cottages on the original core and more recent housing development on the surrounding roads. Properties range from solidly-built pre-war stone with original details intact, to mid-century roughcast render that is approaching the age where renovation makes sense.
Lee works in Luncarty as part of his regular north-of-Perth circuit, on the same route that takes him to Stanley and Bankfoot. The drive from base is short and the area falls naturally into his schedule. He applies the same assessment and the same standard here as he does anywhere closer to Perth.
